As part of the AI-Lead European project, a five-day international training session was held from June 30 to July 4 at the Polytechnic University of Ancona (Università Politecnica delle Marche – UNIVPM). The training brought together partners and trainers with the aim of strengthening their capacity to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). Throughout the week, participants explored key topics and tools essential to guiding SMEs in their digital transformation journeys. The sessions included: The training combined theory with hands-on activities, promoting peer learning and cross-border cooperation. It also laid the foundation for the future delivery of AI-Lead’s support model, which will empower trainers across Europe to guide SMEs through the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence. This initiative reflects the core mission of AI-Lead: making AI accessible, practical, and ethically grounded for the benefit of small businesses and the wider innovation ecosystem. The second transnational meeting of the AI Lead project took place in Valencia, Spain, on May 15-16, 2025, hosted by MindLeap. All partners participated (Confindustria Pesaro Urbino and Università Politecnica delle Marche from Italy, ECECE from Austria and Mindelap from Spain), with two members from each organisation. The meeting gathered project partners to discuss the progress made and to align the next steps for the upcoming months. The AI-Lead kick-off meeting took place in Pesaro, Italy, on December 11-12, 2024, with participation from Mindleap (Spain), ECECE (Austria), the Polytechnic University of Ancona (Italy), and Confindustria Pesaro-Urbino as the coordinator and hosting partner. The main goal of the project is to support SMEs in implementing AI tools in their daily practices, thus enhancing their efficiency andperformance.To do this, the project wants to achieve the following specific objectives: During the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to present their organisations and define the work plan for the coming months.
